It was in September, three days before payday. We’d already run completely out of money. There was nothing, absolutely nothing, left in the pantry, not even a cracker, not an egg in the refrigerator...there was nothing to give the children for lunch...I began to affirm in my prayers the goodness and abundance of God, His great love for each of His children, and our right to be blessed with all good.

I saw that the whole time I’d been feeling alone at my new school, God had been there, giving me nudges about how I needed to change, how I could think differently. God was showing me all the good that was right in front of me, just waiting for me to accept it.

Christian Science gave me the spiritual understanding of God as Love, the one governing, infinite Mind of all, and this resulted not only in physical healing but in greater harmony in my relationships, both at home and at my job. 

A woman and her young son were both healed of dyslexia through prayer. The woman knew that what appeared to be dyslexia could not really be true about her as a child of God, and over the years she had often worked to see that it was not true about any of God’s children. No false labels could be attached to anyone.

My friend had spread rumors about me and told everyone why they shouldn’t be my friend. When I went back to school, I remembered that God’s love was protecting me and that I could let it lead the way to healing and new friends. And God's love did just that.

When I graduated from college, I felt like everything I had known was completely uprooted. I moved to a new city and started a new job, and many meaningful relationships in my life changed. I knew that I could trust God to guide me through all these changes.
