Christ Jesus appeared in a world filled with barbarous political aggression, cruel civil codes, and religious corruption. But through his gentle yet powerful life, he forever destroyed evil’s claim to be able to dominate human endeavor and character.

When my church family helped the less fortunate, it transformed my view of the Christmas season. I realized more than ever before that Christmas is an outpouring of the Father's abundant love for all His children.

To encourage people to live and act as though each day were Christmas, a radio station in a large midwestern American city plays a Christmas carol every day throughout the year. When I happened to hear an occasional carol, the words began to have greater significance to me. Very often they would meet a need at that moment.

y heart is so full of gratitude for the many blessings which Christian Science has brought into my life, that I cannot keep my story of God’s love from where it might reach and possibly help others.

Christian Science teaches that we can challenge the limiting notion of an expected decline of strength and vigor. So when I started experiencing knee pain that made it hard to hike, I knew I could have a complete healing through prayer.

I was in the field behind our house digging out invasive vegetation. Suddenly I started feeling stings all over my body. I had dug into a bees nest. Walking back to the house, while swatting the bees and feeling the stinging increase, I felt a spiritual conviction that I had gained the previous day.

Prayer to heal tension and strife with family members also healed a UTI. Peace within the family was restored and there were no more UTI symptoms.

When I asked the Christian Science practitioner for prayer to heal hemorrhoids, I never mentioned my drug addiction. However, after the complete healing I discovered that all desire to use drugs was gone. No willpower was involved—it was the light of the Christ, dissolving the “mist and shadow into Truth’s clear day.”

I grew up in a family where my mother and grandfather suffered from manic depression. Having seen how little help the traditional methods had given my mom and my grandfather, when I was having major mood swings, my desire was to really heal the problem. That's when I found Christian Science and was healed.

I was ten years old, and on this day I fell from the ten-foot-high diving board onto the concrete alongside it, missing the water entirely. I have no memory of the fall itself, but what I do remember is just as vivid now as it was the day it happened.
