A love letter, of sorts

One of our readers shared with us a copy of a letter she’d written to a friend. We enjoyed it so much, we asked her if we could share it with other Sentinel readers.

Dear Friend,

I wonder if you know how much God loves you. He adores you, delights in you, treasures you. And He is constantly telling you so. It really isn’t a new message. God has been telling you this ever since He created you.

Have you heard this message of pure love? Do you count on it? You can. It will bless you beyond anything that anyone else can do for you.

Sometimes I think we have problems because we don’t know how loved we are. We don’t feel God’s love for us. But it’s not a mystery. The Bible reminds us that God regarded the children of Israel “as the apple of his eye”(Deut. 32:10). That’s how He sees us, too. How else could God, divine Love, view His children? And we are all God’s children. Each day listen carefully to Love until you feel its presence with you. Delight in the small things that show God’s love for you. As you taste of this nourishment, as you feel this refreshing care, you will know that you are embraced by Love, so big and satisfying that it cannot be measured. Divine Love is infinite. It enriches, stimulates, encourages, delights, frees, heals, and blesses. But we need to be open to it.

Sometimes I think we have problems because we don’t know how loved we are.

May your day feel so full of God’s love that you’ll know you’ve unlocked a door to your heart that can never be closed again. May you find Love meeting every need, even as it makes you more loving. May you find, in fact, that divine Love is your life.

With love,
Ivamae
